Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GeoAppear ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit geoappear.com or use the GeoAppear application at app.geoappear.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed password, plus session cookies that keep you signed in.
- Workspace data: the domains, brand and competitor names and prompts you add, and the AI answers, mentions and citations we collect for them.
- Team data: email addresses of people you invite to a workspace.
- Billing data: your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Technical data: standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
How we use it
- to provide the service: running your tracked prompts, analysing answers and showing results;
- to send account emails such as address verification, password resets and workspace invitations;
- to process payments and manage your subscription;
- to keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and email delivery.
- Stripe: payment processing.
- AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity and xAI): we send them the prompts you track, which normally contain brand and category names, not personal data.
Cookies
The application uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. They are required for the service to work.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and workspace data, including scan history, while your account is active. When you delete your account or ask us to, we delete your personal data, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@geoappear.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the application.
